With an emphasis on the principles of health and safety, rather than specific law, its focus is on the identification and control of common workplace hazards. It is a practical qualification, and part of the requirement is for candidates to carry out a risk assessment in a suitable workplace.

At Phoenix Health and Safety, we also offer the option of tailoring the content to cover hazards specific to a particular company or sector.

The course assessment requires you to conduct a health and safety review, testing your ability to put the knowledge you've learned during the course to practice.
The review includes:
Evaluating current health and safety practices to see how they could be improved.
Identifying hazards in the workplace, determining how the risks they pose are managed.
Determining which areas, if any, in the safety strategy and practices of the business require improvement.
Upon completion of the review your certificate will be sent to the designated address.
Once you have completed The NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Award you will be asked to complete a workplace review which:
Considers how health and safety is managed, and how it could be done better
Identifies health and safety issues, how they are controlled and if the risk can be reduced
Selects the most important issue for improvement
This assessment is designed to test your ability to put into practice what you have learnt and, as it is carried out in the workplace, can add instant value to your organisation. Once you have achieved a pass, a qualification parchment will be issued within 20 working days of the confirmation of the successful unit.
